Calendula Cake is a simple yet beautiful cake to make, and use some of the lovely edible flowers from your yard. Yes you make it from scratch.
I am fairly sure that once you make a cake from scratch one time, you will realize that scratch cakes are just as easy as cake from a box - but they taste SO much better. Not to mention all the chemicals they don’t have in them.
A few people asked for more details on the cooking basics in our posts, so we went into a bit more detail on this one. I do hope it helps, because baking is a hard skill to master. It looks easy on the surface, and it is easy to get started, but then you can spend years mastering the skills involved.
“Canuary”
If you are interested in canning we do have a few posts on the topic this month of Canuary. Personally, I am canning up all the stuff I tossed in the freezer in the hotter months because it was just too dang hot to can and heat the house further.
